It depends on the severity of your symptoms. The underground consists of large caverns and tunnels. The average size of the tunnels is 6ft high x 6ft wide. You walk through an entrance tunnel, where tall people may have to duck, and then board an underground boat. Once you board the boat, it is difficult to change your mind about visiting. The boat takes you to the underground Labyrinth where you spend 40 minutes walking from one underground show to the next, this is mainly upright. There are 4 areas with low tunnels where you will need to duck down, but for no longer than 10 seconds. You exit the Labyrinth on the underground boat.
We advise against expensive equipment being taken underground, due to occasional drips of water. Our insurance does not cover damage to visitors’ equipment, you are taking it underground at your own risk. Should you take this risk, please be aware that the use of flash photography or additional lighting is strictly prohibited.
Yes, carers receive a discounted admission. Book online and choose the Carer’s Ticket and bring proof with you. If proof is not provided on arrival, you may have to pay the full ticket price.
