Experience the broad tunnels and cavernous chambers where the world's finest slate was excavated by both hand and explosive before being shipped around the world.

Proper coffee is served by trained baristas, bread is baked in-house and the popular homemade scones always sell fast. The well-stocked Welsh Deli is filled with delicious Welsh food and drink much of which has been grown, reared or produced just a few miles from Corris. Find a good selection of Welsh cheeses, pates, preserves, honey, jam, biscuits, cakes, sauces, dressings.
There's also a range of Welsh whiskeys and liqueurs, numerous bottled beers, ciders and much more. Welsh food and drink Gift Hampers available too.
The Mach Loop

The Mach Loop is a set of valleys, situated between Dolgellau in the north, and Machynlleth in the south (and from which the Mach Loop gets its name), which are regularly used for low level flight training, with flying as low as 250 feet (76 metres) from the nearest terrain.
We’re in the middle of this low-flying training area, a great place to spot RAF and US aircraft.
Children’s Play Area
Right next to the café is a children's play area with a small climbing area, slide and swings. Relax with a coffee whilst keeping a watchful eye on your little ones as they let off steam
