King Arthur's Labyrinth Access Statement

Open Monday 22nd March 2010 to Sunday 31st October 2010 10.00am to 5.00pm (last tour leaves reception at 4.50pm).

Located in Corris Craft Centre.

Situated on the main A487 between Machynlleth and Dolgellau. There are regular buses from Machynlleth, Dolgellau and Aberystwyth to Corris. Bus No. X32 stops outside and No. 34 stops at Braich Goch Bunk House which is a walk of only a ¼ mile along the main road.

There is ample free car parking with blue badge spaces within a few yards of the main reception.

Disabled toilets for both men and women are available together with baby changing facilities.  There is room for a wheelchair in the disabled toilet but limited space for a carer.

Tours of the Labyrinth are guided and times vary according to public demand. Please ask at Reception.

The entrance to the Labyrinth is accessed via a gravel slope with an approximate half mile walk inside the caverns on gravel paths.  There are three steps into the boat and three steps out of the boat inside the caverns.

Wheelchair access into the Labyrinth is limited due to the lack of a suitable route for a wheelchair accessible emergency exit. There may be exceptional circumstances where wheelchairs are permitted but we will need to be persuaded that the user is able to negotiate the existing emergency exit. Please telephone, before setting out on your journey, to discuss your individual requirements with a member of staff.

Prams and pushchairs are not allowed in the Labyrinth.

No dogs are allowed underground other than guide dogs which are allowed at their owner’s risk. Please talk to us about the conditions which your guide dog will encounter.
